Key Activity: Small Group Discussions

CIVL 202 students participate in small group discussions aimed at exploring the important societal and bio-physical issues facing the civil engineering profession.  Students identify the main arguments pertaining to a topic, the evidence supporting the arguments, counter-arguments, and public discourse, and, at the same time hone reflective thinking, knowledge organization, the practice of critiquing personal opinions of self and others, oral communication and leadership skills.
